Raksha Pai is an author, blogger, thinker who hails from Manipal. An Electronics Engineer by profession, Raksha always knew she wasn’t cut out for corporate life, although she was quite sought after during her stint at major IT companies where she worked as a consultant in India and UK.

She is a great advocate of maternal and child health which brought her the entrepreneurial journey in the name of Medisense Healthcare. While Raksha values relationships more than anything else in the world, apart from being a keen observer she considers herself to be an ordinary woman.

Born a Libran, as the eldest daughter to her parents – she found her fascination for art and intellectually engaging subjects at a very young age. Her fondness and attachment to both her parents enabled her to get the best of two worlds. Father, a successful self-made businessman, taught her the nitty-gritty of commerce whereas her ever eager to help, as well as spiritually inclined mother, taught her the importance of being helpful.

She met her husband during her late teens. Theirs was one of a kind love story that gave her the perspective of different worlds from where her soul mate hailed. Her compassionate in-laws enabled as well as encouraged her to do good.

She completed her engineering after her marriage from a reputed college in Bangalore. She started her career with eminent IT majors, before she decided to bid adieu to corporate life and dedicate all her time for her first child, way back in 2009. She not only believes that a mother is irreplaceable for a child but also practices the same.

Her writing style is simple, touching everyday life of the majoritarian crowd. Her literature has an influence of the western world, British in particular, owing to her days spent in the UK.

It was a no-brainer when she nodded her husband’s intent to move back to India for good, to pursue his career. Couple had their second child in 2014.

She turned to writing after a personal misfortune. Nothing consoled her as much as her writing which started abruptly from nowhere! Her first writing material happened to be her Samsung Galaxy, ! Yes, Not Note 7. The manuscripts were stored there for a while before it was discovered, accidentally, by her husband who chose to take an initiative to see if she stood a chance as a writer. Her authorship is owing to his encouragement. Her first book is due to be published shortly.

With both her kids ready to go to school and start their lessons in life – she thinks the time is right for her to contribute to the world of words. She believes that she can represent those many women who are a perfect blend of modernity as well as tradition. She thinks there’s a wonderful section of society which is still managing their lives blissfully without hurting the traditions or abusing the modernity.

She has just begun her journey into the world of writing with a humble yet novel mission – to spread the possibility of happiness in togetherness. To present an alternative narrative that is full of love, compassion, and concern for the welfare of all.
